What Keep My Acres does

Keep My Acres prepares documents. You answer questions about your land, and we turn your answers into Texas property tax paperwork for 1-d-1 open-space (agricultural, timber or wildlife management) valuation, plus a cover sheet with your appraisal district's address and deadline.

What we don't do

• We don't file anything for you. You review, sign and file your documents with your county appraisal district yourself.
• We don't act as your agent with the appraisal district, and we don't handle protests or appeals.
• We aren't attorneys, property tax consultants or wildlife biologists. Our service is document preparation only. It isn't a substitute for the advice of an attorney, and it isn't legal, tax or biological advice.
• We can't promise your appraisal district will approve your application. The chief appraiser decides.

Your part

• Give accurate answers. Your documents are only as good as the information you give us.
• Read everything before you sign it. You're signing a statement to your appraisal district, so make sure it's true.
• File on time. The usual deadline is April 30. We prepare documents, but meeting the deadline is up to you.
• Do the work your plan describes and keep records. Wildlife management valuation depends on what you actually do on the land each year.

Orders and payment

When you send an order, we review it first. If the product fits your situation, we email you a secure payment link. We start work after you pay. If the product doesn't fit, we'll tell you and you won't be charged.

Standard turnaround is given when we confirm your order. Rush orders (+$50) are ready within 2 business days after payment. Rush covers our preparation time only.

Refunds

If your appraisal district denies the application we prepared, send us the denial letter and we'll refund what you paid for that product. This doesn't apply if the denial is because of information that was wrong or left out, because the application was filed late, or because the planned activities weren't carried out. If we haven't started your documents yet, you can cancel for a full refund.

Yearly membership

The $99 yearly membership renews each year only if you choose to renew. You can cancel at any time before renewal.
